It's all in the shoes...

A while back I blogged about how I ended up with my Marc Jacobs purse because of a generous gift, well these shoes were the other part of the gift. But because I am too afraid to wear them, they are frankly way too fancy for typical wear. So I've gotten two chances to wear these fancy things on my feet, the only other being my birthday.

This day I wore them to go out to a nightclub because I knew there wouldn't be that many people there (no stepping on toes), and we would have our own table to sit (it pays to be friends with the dj's).

Also, I couldn't find a decent, well lit place to take a picture, since I was going out at night.

This is the same season of Prada with all the satin and turbans...when it came down to picking a pair of shoes, I wanted to get something totally different - maybe a different fabric color, material, or even shape. These actually seemed too classic for me, I don't usually go for a black shoe (there was also a black and purple pair of the same shoe the day before, but when I went back to make a real purchase the next day, they were gone along with some other Chloe shoes I had been considering). But then I realized that I don't really have a black shoe to even wear. Plus, they were considerably lighter than any shoe I usually wear (I'm so used to having Fornarina shoes on my feet, there's so much leather in them, quite heavy), that these felt like I was walking on my tippy toes.

With these shoes...I might as well be walking on air.
