I can with no hesitation say that going to the swapmeet consists of this mostly of this
Navigating huge piles. Mostly junk. You have to sift through these to find the hidden treasures. Sometimes there's no treasures : /
Tons of people, most of them in your way, pushing something that will get in your way.
Inevitable exhaustion and or heat stroke and or insanity
To cool off, we went to Huntington beach.
Wearing the dress my mother deemed not wearable anywhere else but the beach (she hates the dress)
Diana showing us her hops.
We were able to successfully find her bathing suit for a whopping two dollars at our prior visit to the swapmeet from vendors who did not know what they were selling. Two for a dollar, match a top and/or bottom. There were mostly bottoms. But we did find this matching Calvin Klein two piece for her. It's of sunbathing women in the 20's with old school bathing suits. I wish it had fit me. Since the swapmeet sun was also scorching our eyes, that same day she bought those sunglasses for a dollar. Not bad for orange-sicle wayfarers.
We did bring home horrible sunburns, mostly because Diana decided to not put sunblocks on certain parts of my back. Thank you.
